Argentines looking to travel in the coming months are eyeing Spain keenly, according to a new Google ranking.
The search engine giant has shared a list of which tourist destinations Argentines are searching for online for travel between June and August of 2022.
The most popular destination this year is Madrid, though it should be noted that it’s not the only Spanish city that ranks highly, with Barcelona appearing at number three.
Looking to the United States, the most searched-for destinations were Miami in seventh place and New York in 12th place. Fort Lauderdale is the last of the destinations from the North American country, in 13th place.
Underlining the difficulties facing Argentina's economy and the sharp devaluation of the peso, seven destinations in Argentina were among the most sought after. In that sense, Bariloche is the most searched for, at number two in the ranking, while Buenos Aires occupies fourth place.
